How to measure to get the correct stockings
With medical grade compression, having the correct size is crucial to ensure they provide the intended therapeutic benefits, such as improving blood flow and reducing swelling. Incorrect sizing can lead to discomfort, restricted circulation, or insufficient compression, diminishing their effectiveness.
Follow the four steps below to ensure you size yourself correctly. If you're still unsure, please watch this video for further guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Compression therapy is the treatment of certain conditions with compression socks or stockings that exert outside pressure on the limbs in order to improve circulation and reduce or prevent swelling throughout the day.
Therafirm true gradient compression garments are designed to deliver a controlled amount of pressure which is greatest at the ankle of the garment and gradually decreases toward the top of the stocking to provide maximum vein support.
Compression measurements (measured in mmHg, or millimeters of mercury per square inch) are represented by how much pressure is required to elevate mercury. The higher the level of compression, the greater the therapeutic value for the more serious pathologies. Use the graph to the right for suggested dosages.
All mmHg measurements seen on this website are based on the mean compression for the average ankle size.
Compression products should not be worn and are contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions: severe arterial insufficiency, cutaneous infections, acute dermatitis, wet dermatosis, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, skin irritations, allergies to dyes.

The most popular choice for travel is either a CoreSpun sock or a dress sock for men or women. CoreSpun socks are in the 1700 range and the dress socks are the 6800 range. Offer the colour choice in either range. Stockings are also in the 6800range or the Ease range 5100.
Ease and CoreSpun are easier to put on. This is particularly important for daily use.
*It is important to remember that compression is NOT to be used while sleeping.
